Offering of Involvement

We’ll continue today looking at this idea of offering.

We see in Acts 10:4 that offering is involvement with the “least of these” Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.

We see in Philippians 4:18 that it is an offering of involvement in ministry or mission. I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.

So offering can also mean that we are to be involved in the lives of other people. Being Jesus with skin on is a full time job.

Be wise today consider your offering.
