Flawless

There are five things to consider on how the Bible could be flawless. We'll look at a different one over the next few days as we continue our study of God Questions, Is the Bible True?

The first thing to consider is - Where the Bible came from. Take a moment and open your Bible to the Table of Contents. Consider how it is put together: 66 Books – 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. Written over a long period of time with many different authors. Moses wrote the first five. From Genesis to Esther is history. From Job to Song of Songs is poetry. Isaiah to Malachi is full of prophecy. Then there was a 400 year span where God was silent called the Intertestamental Period. Matthew through Acts is history. Romans to Jude are letters, and Revelation is prophecy. You may be thinking:
So What?
Ephesians 2:20 says that the Christian church is “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets….” Every book of the Bible was written by a prophet (God’s spokesperson), an apostle (one who had been an eyewitness of the risen Christ), or someone with a direct link to one. A good creditable witness to the story of God and us.
Be wise today and always - remember where you came from!
