The Potter's Hand

Here is a snapshot of the teaching we will find in Jeremiah Chapter 18:
1. We see God's power over creation is represented by the potter. (vv. 1-10) Two great Godly truths.
a. God has the authority, and power, to form us.
b. God may use us as he thinks best.

2. We see the Jews encouraged to repent, and judgments are prophesized. (vv. 11-17)
Sinners call it freedom to live as they please; but to be a slave to lusts, is the very worst kind of slavery.

3. We see the prophet appealing to God. (vv. 18-22)
Jeremiah calls his people to repentance, but instead of listening to his warning they turn against God’s messenger. They want to catch him and throw him in a pit! Jeremiah turns to the Lord and asks Him to punish them.

4. We see what we may not depend upon in a day of judgment.  (v. 23)
It is not about religion or it's trappings. It is all about your personal relationship with Christ.

Be wise today and always - be obedient, faithful, moldable, to be right with God.
