The world is trying to force it's life view and discredit the Biblical worldview. Jesus has a lot to say on the subject. Consider His illustration in Luke 11:24-26,
“When a corrupting spirit is expelled from someone, it drifts along through the desert looking for an oasis, some unsuspecting soul it can bedevil. When it doesn’t find anyone, it says, ‘I’ll go back to my old haunt.’ On return, it finds the person swept and dusted, but vacant. It then runs out and rounds up seven other spirits dirtier than itself and they all move in, whooping it up. That person ends up far worse than if he’d never gotten cleaned up in the first place.”
The world applauds people who "get their lives together" and those who "clean up their acts". The problem is what do they replace their bad behaviors or problems with? Jesus says without filling those voids with God then you have set yourself up for an attack and find yourself in worse shape than you were in the beginning!
Fill yourself with God's Word. Through faith in Christ be filled with the Holy Spirit. Then be obedient.
