Jesus concludes his
teaching in Luke 16:1-13, The Parable of the Shrewd Manager with three lessons from the story. Today we'll look at the second one.
2. Treasures are a trust.
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can
also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also
be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly
wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been
trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your
own?” (Luke 16:10–12)
According to Jesus, how we handle
his money is an act of faith.
Will we trust him with
a little, and receive a little, or will we trust him with a lot and receive a
lot?
Trust in the Lord and handle your treasure wisely.
Amen?
