You Hurt Me

When we feel that someone has wronged us grievously and we cannot forgive them we have made them our enemy. There is a huge conflict here. If God refuses to regard certain people as His enemies, then we as Christians cannot regard them as our enemies. Jesus says in Matthew 6:14, "For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."
We are in fact told to love our enemies! Have you ever said this to God – “You just don’t know how bad they hurt me…” When we take a breath, we can see how foolish this is – of course God knows. He knows everything! It still hurts, and we can’t see how we could ever get over it.
This where Jesus does His best work. He makes a way when we see no way out. So, instead of focusing on our hurt and anger let’s focus on Him. He’ll see you through, just trust and obey. Amen?
