God's House should be welcoming and
transforming by the power of the Holy Spirit. When church leaders decided
that it should be something other than that Jesus got mad.
Jesus entered the temple
courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned
the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling
doves. “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be
called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it ‘a den of robbers. - Matthew 21:12-13
God’s temple starts with
self and we need to be anointed with the Spirt, obedient, and faithful to His
call on our lives. In other words we must be transformed!
Do
not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s
will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
