The prophet Micah’s name means – Who is like the Lord.
Sounds like a question or maybe a riddle. I believe the answer can be found in
Ephesians 5:1-2 “Therefore be imitators of
God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also
has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a
sweet-smelling aroma.” In other words – We are to be like the Lord!
This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has
given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent
his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the
Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on
the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God,
and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we
will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 1 John 4:13-17
What does this look like in real life?
What is God’s expectation of Christ followers?
Pray right now for the Lord to help you make
the changes necessary to be more like Jesus. Amen?
