We
recently went through a season of gift giving. Much of our time and efforts
were focused on getting and getting presents. Did you ever think about what kind
of gift you can give God? After all it is Jesus’ birthday – God gave His Son,
Mary gave birth, and Jesus gives us the way to redemption. What was our
offering?
The
good news is we can (and should) be giving to Him all year long! We need to be
willing to give God the gift of our:
Repentance
– Romans 10:8-13
Faith
– Psalm 34:4-6 and James 2:18
Mind
– 1 Peter 2:1-3
Heart
– 1 John 3:17-20
Witness
– Matthew 28:18-20
Let this coming New Year be the year that
you grow further in your knowledge of Christ and the impact of your faith
because you have been transformed by the power of God. The result will be a
life that is a gift, a life that is
holy, a life that is pleasing to Him and a blessing to others! Amen?
