Why is faith in the one true God so
important to our daily walk? God makes great restoration promises to His
people, but in Jeremiah 29:5-7. 5 “Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.
6 Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your
daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase
in number there; do not decrease. 7 Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the
city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because
if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
He lets them know they will not be
returning to their homeland. Many times we want things to be “just the way they
were”. But God has other plans which are better for us. We need to have faith
in that.
And without faith it is
impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he
exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. - Hebrews 11:6
