Today is third
day that we will be praying for specific needs for the poor. We will be looking at
what God’s Word has to say and focus our daily prayers on three needs.
1. Healthcare
Luke 10: 34-35
- He went to him and
bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own
donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The
next day he took out two denarii
and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I
return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
2. Education
2 Timothy 3:14-16
- But as for
you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because
you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy
Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in
Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for
teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
3. Employment
1 Thessalonians
4:11-12 - and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You
should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of
outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
Be wise today and
always – pray that God’s plans and purposes are attainable for everyone.
