How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.
This is a song of ascents written by King David, who experienced the power of authentic community in the company of close friends who were called, “David’s mighty men.” Psalm 133 is a song written about the power of authentic community.
I’ll break it down over the next few days. Read through it and ask God to illuminate its meaning as you seek to live in God’s authentic community.
