Today starts a 5-week emphasis at Hopewell
called, “Give To Live” that focuses on stewardship and mission in the local church. We will learn how to take the next step
and discover the personal, spiritual befits of generosity.
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken
together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same
measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” - Luke 6:38
We will learn how to discover God’s
purpose for our lives and use our time, talent, and treasure to create the
future God has planned for His people. It will help us:

Make the switch from
being a consumer/receiver to being a steward/giver.
·
Apply biblical
principles in the use of our financial resources.
·
See ourselves as God
sees them.
·
See the world as God
sees it.
·
Use our God-given
abilities to serve our neighborhood and community.
“So let
each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for
God loves a cheerful giver”. - 2 Corinthians 9:7
