The LORD Almighty - He is the King of glory! This Psalm has been lifted
up on many occasions and will continue to sound loudly. Christ is returning to
earth and we (who know Him) shall rise to meet Him in the air!
"Lift
up your heads, O you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of
glory may come in" (vs. 9). The author of this psalm, King
David, is especially speaking to those who have put off receiving Jesus, and
those who know they need the righteousness of Christ. They know that they
should come to know Him by faith, but have kept the ancient, rusty doors of
their hearts shut.
The
King of glory is at the door of your heart.
Will
you not let Him in?
May
the gates of our hearts swing wide open! Amen?
