In order to meet the many demands on our time that we must place a priority system on what we value most. Jesus tells us in Matthew
Ecclesiastes 10:10 reminds us to take time to sharpen our tools – “If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success”. Have you ever noticed how hard it is to keep sharp things sharp, hot things hot, and joy in all things?
There is a story of the young man that hired on with a logging firm. -The old man said, I learned a lesson many years ago from the Bible. A dull ax requires more work, be wise and sharpen your blade. The old man was not resting, he stopped to sharpen and adjust his chain saw. Young man never stopped to sharpen his edge the greater his labor the less he accomplished.
This is a story about our life in Christ. We must keep a sharp edge. The sharpest tools today can become very dull tomorrow. We need Godly wisdom to apply our hearts and work wisely. God wants all our attention. Does He have yours today?
