Some may think that all these proverbs we have studied over the past four weeks are old fashion and not relevant because they were written so long ago. Wisdom never goes out of style and should always be desired. See what it says in the New Testament.
James 1:5: "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. "
Having the mind of Christ and His vision for your life are all a part of wisdom. Vision is an insight and awareness of God’s plan. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Without vision the people will perish”(KJV), or “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint.”(NIV) The lack of following God leads to lawless rebellion. All believers need to follow God’s vision and plan for their lives.
Just ask, receive, believe, and obey.
May we seek to hear from God, and allow His wisdom and knowledge guide and direct us all the days of our lives.
