For years one of my
favorite songs has been God of the City. It started out of earnest prayer for
the town I was living in, and the big City just north of us. Even when things
seemed hopeless God had a way of showing up and leaving skeptics scratching
their heads. I love the way He makes a way when we see nothing but frustration
and dead-ends. God brings light in to the darkness and wins every time.
Meditate on these words today and pray with me for “Greater things that are yet
to come”.
“You're the God of this
City, You're the King of these people, You're the Lord of this nation, You are
You're the Light in this darkness, You're the Hope to the hopeless You're the
Peace to the restless, You are There is no one like our God, For greater things
are yet to come, and greater things are still to be done here!”
Here (city, suburbs, or
country) is where you are. Make it great for God – today and every day. Amen?
