Most of us would agree
that we hate going through trials and hard times. Interestingly enough the
Bible tells us to glory in tribulations! Look what Paul has to say to the
church of Rome, and to me and you.
Romans 5:3-5 says, Not
only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering
produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character,
hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love
has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given
to us.
I admit I'm still
learning, but have experience many trials in the last few years. In this
passage look at the promise and progression through our trial, hardships,
crises, and tribulations that Paul describes.
1. Tribulation brings
patience. - We learn to wait on God, and
live in His timing not ours.
2. Patience brings
experience. - We learn to trust in
God, even when we don't understand.
3. Experience brings
hope. - We learn the truth and the
application of God's promises.
4. This hope enables us
to not be ashamed.- We can live for Christ -
even during these hard times.
If Jesus is for you who
could come against?
He is for us! Amen?
