One of the
great truths of God’s Word is that He loves us, and desires to be in an
intimate relationship with us. Let’s finish our study on offering today
learning how to know Him more.
Your relationship
with God is an offering found in Mark 12:33. To
love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your
strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all
burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
Your relationship
with others is found in Matthew 5:23. “Therefore,
if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother
or sister has something against you, leave your
gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come
and offer your gift.
Your great
offering to God is your life. Look at 1 Peter 2:5; you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house
[Or into a temple of the Spirit] to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual
sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
