Rarely do we see someone
forsaking the Gospel and breaking their relationship with Christ in one
instant. It’s usually starts with getting off course, staying apart from God’s
plan, and then not returning to the faith. Max Lucado calls this “casual
abandonment”. We are warned about this
in Hebrews 2:1 – We must pay more careful attention, therefore,
to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away
We have just come through a
season where many of us have studied 40 Days in the Word and the excitement of
Easter. Do not forget to continue to feed on the Word of God, and live every
day for Him. If you stray off of His purposes – turn back immediately! You’ll
find Jesus there.
Be wise today and always –
stay in the Word.
