Open Up

Today we will finish our study of Psalm 24:7-10.  7 Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 8 Who is this King of glory?  The LORD strong and mighty,  the LORD mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, you gates;  lift them up, you ancient doors,  that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is he, this King of glory?

The LORD Almighty - He is the King of glory! This Psalm has been lifted up on many occasions and will continue to sound. Christ is returning to earth and we shall rise to meet Him in the air.

"Lift up your heads, O you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in" (vs. 9).  The author of this psalm, King David, is especially speaking to those who have put off receiving Jesus, and those who know they need the righteousness of Christ. They know that they should come to know Him by faith, but have kept the ancient, rusty doors of their hearts shut.

The King of glory is at the door of your heart. Will you not let Him in?

Be wise today and always - may the gates of your hearts swing wide open!
