Jesus concludes his
teaching in Luke 16:1-13, The Parable of the Shrewd Manager with three lessons from the story. Today we'll look at the first one.
1.
The purpose of wealth
is to gain the "welcome" in heaven:
“I tell you, use your
worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you
will be welcomed into eternal dwellings” (Luke 16:9).
You only have one life. Use it to
enhance your future. When you give, I encourage you to imagine someone thanking
you one day for your investment in his or her salvation.
Be wise today and always - work for eternal riches.
