Developing Prayer

There are a number of things that stand out to me as I study God's Word: Relationship, Obedience, Faithfulness, and Ongoing prayer. 

Prayer involves, listening, speaking, and applying.

 Prayer develops faith by encouraging reliance on God.

 Prayer is not difficult – but simple with everyday words like “please”, thank You”, and “praise You” at its heart.

Prayer brings us closer, bonding us as children of God.

Prayer often does not change the situation as much as it changes my heart, attitude, and response to that reality.

 Praying the words of Jesus is a strengthening spiritual practice.

Even in our fallen world we can have new hope through Jesus.

 

Stay in continual communication (prayer) with God.
