Do we love God with our
heart, mind, body, and soul, and our neighbor as ourselves? 1
Corinthians 13:4 says, Love is patient, love is kind…
Are we showing these
attributes of God as a sign to the world around us?
Here’s a test. When you are holding a drink in a cup and you are bumped
something usually spills out, right?
What happens when we’re
bumped? You know – when something doesn’t go right or the way
you want – someone makes you mad, etc.. You get bumped. So what comes out of
you?
Know this -what spills
out of us is really what is in us!
Finally,
brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever
is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any
excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard
and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. – Philippians 4:8-9.
Let’s work and focus on
what is in us so we’ll know in advance what will spill out. Amen?
