Christ Followers are mandated on how we are to treat
children. Why? Children are important to Jesus! We see a great lesson in
this in Matthew 19:13-15: Then people brought little children to Jesus for
him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked
them. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. When he had placed his
hands on them, he went on from there.
We are taught to love and bless children.
- Children were brought to Jesus
- Not all parents are interested in the spiritual well-being of their children, so Christ followers need to take on this responsibility. If you don’t bring them, they might not come; to VBS, church, Awana, or any Christ centered event.

- Jesus wanted to bless them, and so should
we.
- There were hindrances to the children.
- The Disciples thought the children were a problem. - Remember that children look to YOU as examples of the importance of Jesus in their life.

Let’s be a blessing to the children that God entrusts us
with at home, in the community, and at church. Amen?
