To honor and serve God we must be in a right relationship with Him. We must be cleansed of our sins, and have Jesus' heart and mind. The psalmist speaks of this in Psalm 24:4 when he answers the question, Who can come before God?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol, or swear by what is false.
This deals with our known or public sins. It also reminds us that God knows our hearts and minds, those secret sins as well.
Confess your sins - Jesus will forgive and cleanse you. It's a promise!
Be wise today and always - be clean and useful for the kingdom and yourself.
