Answer 6. To teach you obedience.
Psalm 119:67,71 “Before I was afflicted I went astray, but
now I keep Your word…..It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may
learn Your statutes.”
The painful sting of
affliction ought to remind you that sin has consequences. So God uses trials to
make you obey and pursue holiness.
