Future Hope

Romans 5:2 tells us, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

We have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand 

1. We are redeemed (forgiven) - bought with a price

2. We live according to God’s grace. - take a stand!

 

Because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. - Philippians 1:5

We rejoice in hope of the glory of God. - Romans 5:2

1. We have access to God by faith now, we may hope for the glory of God in eternity.

2. Those who hope for the glory of God in eternity have enough to rejoice in now. 

It's a great equation: Future hope brings present hope. This is totally opposite of the world's philosophy of saving now for later. It takes us out of the picture, and puts God in charge.
