I've been praying non-stop for my wife's healing for the past month. I believe that she will be fully healed and made whole by the power of God. I looked back at a teaching I did years ago about how God offers healing. It is a good reminder of His great love, mercy, and grace He shows through the healing process.
1. God heals through the new
birth. – 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if
anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
Healing can be found when true repentance and forgiveness occurs.
2. God heals through the
confession of sin – Psalm 103:3-4 who forgives all your sins and heals all
your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and
compassion, We can become well by dealing with our sin.
3. God heals miraculously, in
keeping with sovereign will. - James 5:13-16 - Is any one of
you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.
Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over
him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in
faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has
sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray
for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is
powerful and effective. We should pray in faith for those who
are sick, and believe in God’s healing.
What kind of healing do you need? The Lord is able.
