Our Good

The same dependable guidelines that were given to Joshua and the Israelites, are for us as well. We must be deliberate and intentional in following them.

We must intentionally rely on God’s Provision (And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses. - Joshua 3:7) God was with Moses and is now with Joshua. He has not changed, doesn’t forget, slow down, or need time off! Jesus knows perfectly well what we need even before we ask.

We also must intentionally rely God’s Prescriptions (Tell the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: ‘When you reach the edge of the Jordan’s waters, go and stand in the river. - Joshua 3:8) God makes no mistakes. He gives us exactly what we need.

We need to follow directions and take our medicine! The priests moved – stood – then the people followed. Life would be so much simpler and richer if we would just do what God says. – like Israel we must Follow directions, take a step, stand, and encourage movement within the body of Christ. God means what He says and says what He means, and it’s always for our good. Remember to listen intently and follow intentionally!
Amen?
