Today we will continue with Jesus' teaching in Luke
16:1-13. It is a parable of the Shrewd Manager that includes three lessons. Today
we'll look at the first one.
The purpose of wealth is
to gain the "welcome" in heaven:
“I
tell you, use your worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when
it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings” (Luke 16:9).
You only have one life.
Use it to enhance your future. When you give, I encourage you to imagine
someone thanking you one day for your investment in his or her salvation. That
should make all of us more focused on sharing Christ with the world
around us.
Be wise always - work
for eternal riches.
Amen?
