In order to move forward as a disciple in
Christ we must be intentional in all we do. Here are two things to remember about what it means to be a
Christian, a disciple. When we are “on mission”:
1. We love
those who probably can't give anything in return. “By
this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” –
John 13:35
2.
We do “unto others” as an
expression of the love of God that is inside of us, bubbling up, spilling over,
and flowing out! “For the entire law is
fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor
as yourself.” – Galatians 5:14
Christians on a mission are giving two gifts
-- one gift which satisfies a practical need, and one gift which opens a window
to the love and grace of God.
