The same dependable
guidelines that were given to Joshua and the Israelites, are for us as well. We
must be deliberate and intentional in following them.
We must intentionally
rely on God’s Power (Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for
tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” Joshua said to the
priests, “Take up the ark of the covenant and pass on ahead of the people.” So
they took it up and went ahead of them. - Joshua 3:5-6)
The Lord allowed them
for three Days to see the impossibility of mission. Everything from a flooded
river, fortified cities, and the enemy armies awaited them. But God was with
them and would bring victory, but required a step of faith!
God’s power is evident and His presence real today as well. You should have no need to fear when your hand is in His, but God is calling us to take intentional steps of faith. Remember He will provide the strength to do all things in His Name. Amen?
