The fourth piece of spiritual equipment found in Ephesians
6:13-17 is the SHIELD of FAITH. Fiery darts are launched at you & me
all of the time. The fiery darts of the wicked one come fast and furious, and
they are going to continue to come. The only thing that will bat them down is
this shield of faith.
Wicked thoughts, horrible
temptations, evil enticements…What are we supposed to do?
Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 2.22 to: Flee also
youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who
call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
God desires us to have a pure
heart full of righteousness, faith, love, hope, and peace. These will protect
from this evil world.
Be wise today and always – shield
yourself from the world with your faith in Christ.
