Your Hope and Calling

You can’t hope in something that you do not know. We have to experience this hope even it’s just a glimmer. Praise God that He doesn’t make us wonder or guess about His intentions. He makes His plans and calling for our lives clear.

Mark Twain said, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than the ones that you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

I want to encourage you make the most of this study for the next nine weeks. As the saying goes. “You will only get out of it what you put in to it”. We will be learning incredible life lessons from a man who lived a long time ago named Jeremiah over the next eight weeks. His hope came from God, and it started with a word from Him.

In the opening first chapter in the book of Jeremiah a young man hears from God and receives his calling as an evangelist and prophet. In other words he becomes a spokesperson from God. Your calling from God is your profession or occupation in which you earn a living, but also have the opportunity to share God in that working environment. We still receive callings today. When you listen to God’s direction for your life you will find yourself firmly in God’s will and in His purpose for your life.

Be wise today and always - the journey with Christ is eternal.
