Honoring Jesus

When you look at the world around you, what do you see? A woman named Martha saw the needs of her guests. Her sister, Mary, saw a very different greater need. 2,000 years later we are still talking about it.

Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.  Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him.  Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. John 12:1-3

How does your sacrifice appear to others? The act of giving to God can (and should) involve sacrifice. What do you have to give? Money? Possessions? Time? Self – heart, mind, body, and soul?

How are you giving? Give your best every day. How you give honors Jesus.
