Strong Heart

How can we strengthen our hearts for God? We've all heard no pain no gain, and that's how our hearts get stronger as well. Just like your physical heart it is in the doing that makes you stronger. You'll never be all that God wants you to be by being a spectator - get in the game! Stretch and exercise those muscles. It will hurt but you will be stronger in the long run.

Allow your Heart to be used by God. Strive to have a heart that is:

1. Contrite (broken before the Lord)
Engage in what is happening around you with feelings & emotion.

2. Connected (in but not of the world)
Recognize and connect with what is going on around you.

3. Cheerful (even in giving!)
John 15:11, “I have told you this so your joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

4. Compassionate (does anything move you?)
Is your heart becoming softer or harder with time?

5. Chooses (to Hear God’s Promptings)
Never take for granted that the God of creation chooses to talk to me

Ultimately it’s all about having a faithful and obedient heart.

Matthew 5:13-15 - 13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

What does that look like? How can God use it?

Be wise today and always - let your heart beat and be moved for God's kingdom.
