Psalm 46:10 is a
favorite verse for many of us.
The Lord says, “Be still,
and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be
exalted in the earth.”
Do we really understand
what David is trying to convey here?
Be Still can
be taken as a comfort and a warning.
It can mean to be
silent. Psalm 23:1-3 says; The Lord is my shepherd, I lack
nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside
quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for
his name’s sake.
We need to listen to
God. We need to rest in the Lord.
Today and always – be
still and silent before God. He has a lot to say to us. Be a good listener. Amen?
