Mandated

We will be having a service this evening at the Hopewell Baptist Church. Please feel welcome to attend in a spirit of introspection as we consider the words, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday, is the Thursday before Easter Sunday, observed by Christians in commemoration of Christ's Last Supper. The name Maundy is derived from mandatum (Latin for "mandate or commandment"). In many Protestant churches, Communion is celebrated during the evening service.  Christ gave his followers at the Last Supper a commandment that they love one another. (John 13:34).

We will be celebrating and remembering Christ's last supper, the meaning of Seder (the Passover meal), and a drama presentation The service begins at 7 pm. We are at the corner of Hopewell Road and 850 West.

We also invite you to join us at Hopewell Baptist Church in Holton, IN on:

April 18 – Seder (Passover demonstration) and Garden Scene drama

April 19 – Good Friday 7pm presentation of The Sound of the Nails

April 21 - Resurrection Sunday Services at 7am and 9am with breakfast served in between.
