For
the next 8 days we will be looking at the kind of church God blesses.
A lot of churches a
struggling and even closing their doors. We need to learn from the first church
and how they operated and received God’s favor and blessing. If we want to have
the blessing of God on our churches, we need to do what the early church did in
Acts chapters 1-2.
The first thing the church must do is to pray for God’s power.
Look in Acts 1:1-5; In my former book,
Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach 2 until the day he was taken
up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles
he had chosen. 3 After his suffering, he
presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He
appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. 4 On one occasion, while he
was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father
promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John
baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy
Spirit.” And 1:14; They all joined together
constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and
with his brothers.
We are told to pray
constantly, and wait for Jesus to guide and bless you.
Be wise today and always –
tap in to the power source.
