Journey from Slavery to Freedom

The story found in the book of Joshua is not just Rahab’s story, but it is yours and mine as well:
My story starts out sad.  Look at Rahab’s story in Joshua 2:1–3, Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim. “Go, look over the land,” he said, “especially Jericho.” So they went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there. The king of Jericho was told, “Look, some of the Israelites have come here tonight to spy out the land.”
So the king of Jericho sent this message to Rahab: “Bring out the men who came to you and entered your house, because they have come to spy out the whole land.”
Rahab had a sad life and it just got more complicated. She was asked to give up God’s men to the evil king. The Bible reminds us of our sad life and choices we make as well, All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
It’s a problem we all have and it puts us in bondage, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin” (John 8:34)
Be wise today and always - realize where you are in life and turn to God.
