Do you ever find it difficult to accept God's grace and promises? You are in good company. The men who were closes to Jesus the night of His arrest all fled. Of course we see in Matthew 26 He told them that they would all stumble, fall, turn, and run away.
But He also has let us know - Your fall may be great but my grace will be greater. Stumble and I will catch you. Scatter and I will gather you. Turn from Me and I will turn toward you. He said after these things happened He would be waiting to accept them back in Galilee.
God does the same them with us when we doubt and mess up. He's waiting to take us back.
