Meaningful Word

Spend time in the Bible and contemplate it's meaning for your life. Consider the words of Jesus’ disciple in John 1:14,  The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Let’s break down this important verse of Scripture, and meditate on it's meaning for us today.  Think of and add your thoughts and understanding to each section.

The Word = Jesus Christ, the Son of God

Became flesh = Left heaven to become a human baby

Made his dwelling among us = Lived as one of us and dealt with all the trials and temptations that we do

Seen = bear witness to what Jesus did

His glory = The glory of God

Glory of the one and only Son = The way, truth, and life

Who came from the Father = Left the from God’s side

Full of grace and truth = The greatest gift of all!

We can learn a lot about the Word from His words. May we apply them to our lives. Amen?
