Even in the Valley of
Trouble (Achor) we can find hope and experience God’s great grace. God is
calling His people to be faithful. “Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the wilderness and
speak tenderly to her. There I will give her back her vineyards,
and will make the Valley of
Achor a door of hope. There she will
respond as in the days of her youth, as in the
day she came up out of Egypt. (God’s deliverance)
God gives us a plan on how to be faithful in Hosea
10:12 - Sow righteousness for
yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.
In the New Testament Paul caught the idea of faithfulness
when he wrote, “Therefore be imitators of
God as dear children” Ephesians 5:1. God expects us to act like Him, who is
always faithful! The good news is a word called restoration. A disciple of
Christ wrote about it, “Once you were not a people, but now you are
the people of God; once you had
not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.“ 1 Peter 2:10.
God promises to walk through the valleys and to never leave us. Amen?
