I was watching one of those swamp people - alligator shows the other day. One of the trainers/handlers of a over 100 gators said this;
Alligators never show affection or appreciation they're so
mean - you can be feeding them and they'll try to bite you!
Have you ever felt like that?
Have you ever tried to love, care, and nurture someone only for them to cause you harm?
If you've ever been in ministry or Christian service you know what I mean. Sometimes it is the people closes to us that try to "take a bite" out of you! But, before we start throwing a pity party let's look at it from God's perspective.
How many times have we hurt Him or not shown our appreciation for all He does for us?
I'm glad He keeps loving and feeding us. Don't you? Jesus said the greatest thing we can do is to love God with all we have. That includes showing our gratitude to Him, and those whom helped us along our Christian journey.
Be wise today and always - Tell Jesus and someone else today how much you appreciate them, and maybe apologize for the times you "snapped" at them.
